Organization

The "Institut de Chimie Moléculaire de l'Université de Bourgogne" (ICMUB CNRS UMR CNRS 6302) was created January 1st 2007 by the merger of two laboratories, the "Laboratoire de Synthèse et d'Electrosynthèse Organométalliques" (LSEO, UMR 5188) and the "Laboratoire d'Ingénierie Moléculaire pour la Séparation et les Applications des Gaz" (LIMSAG, UMR 5633) into one entity.

Since January 2012, 4 RESEARCH TEAMS comprise the Institute.

  • EMMD team (Electrochemistry, Molecular Materials, and Devices) - Manager: Pr Marcel BOUVET
The team works on molecular materials, from molecules to materials and from materials to devices. The electrochemical techniques are exploited to synthesize, to immobilize and to detect chemical or biological species.

  • OMBC3 team (OrganoMetallics and Catalysis for Bioactive and Clean Chemistry) - Manager: Pr Jean-Cyrille HIERSO
The team focuses its research on the design, characterization, fundamental understanding and innovative application of valuable organometallics and organics within the framework of coordination chemistry, bioorganometallics and transition metal-assisted or catalyzed efficient reactions.

  • P2DA team (Polyamines, Porphyrins, Developments and Applications) - Manager: Pr Franck DENAT
The team focuses on the synthesis and physico-chemical characterization of polyamine- and porphyrin-based ligands and metal complexes. These molecules are used for recognition and molecular separation, catalysis, purification of liquid and gaseous effluents, and medical imaging.

  • StereochIM team (Stereochemistry and Molecular Interactions) - Manager: Pr Sylvain JUGÉ
The stereochemistry team is dedicated to chirality: stereoselective synthesis, asymmetric catalysis and chiral molecular recognition, as illustrated by work on P-chirogenic compounds, heterosubstituted aminoacids and chiral molecular cages.

TECHNICAL PLATFORM PACSMUB

The platform WPCM (see web site) is open to the Institute and other laboratories of the University of Burgundy, but also provides external services to the private or public sector. His objective consists in sharing high-performance instruments or facilities whose management and maintenance are performed by an expert staff.
  • access to NMR spectrocospy in collaboration with the laboratory FLAVIC, INRA-ENESAD-UB from Dijon
  • access to Mass, Infrared, Raman, UV-visible, EPR ... spectroscopies
  • access to monocristal and powder X-ray diffraction techniques
  • access to facilities to perform reactions under gaz pressure conditions, possibly dangerous (toxic and/or flammable)
